Hi
I am trying to install opneisis / php isis, on a Linux machine.
I´ve download openisis 0.8.6 and php-isis tar files.
Inside openisis.0.8.6 there´s a file called INSTALL.txt that says :

2)Compile and build Openisis as shared library
make shared

Well, i did but nothing happened (i don´t use BSD plataform)

So i tried to use the makefile and he found a lot of errors about
unecountered directories, does somebody have a complete how to
install php - openisis on a linux machine ?

tks

why you don't try 0.8.8, it has better support icon_smile.gif

yesterday night i installed this combination in my rh-9 an every works fine except that
php-openisis didn't compile compatible with the php version that is loaded by apache, the
problem was that i have two php instaled in my linux, the redhat one and another compiled
by myself, so i just modify the file "compile" and look php-config in /usr/bin insted of
/usr/local/bin .

please, look inside the sto directory, the file openisis.so should be there

copy that file to some lib directory, for example /usr/local/lib

also you will need to copy the file openisis.h to an include directory in order to compile
php-openisis, for example you can copy openisis.h to /usr/local/include

that was the onlu trick i need to do

good luck
roger

It is recommended to use in your php.ini file "register globals = off" for
security. When you have register globals off you nedd to use $_POST.

Bye!

It could be. I will look at your code. However I was hoping that someone
was going to program a mfnrange function with the basic functionality
provided or suggest another basic function needed to program mnfrange in
PHP. I thought about it and it was not that hard. That is why I had no
answered to your wishlist. Maybe the function needed was something like
isis_mfn_data_seek to start retrieving records from some MFN.

Anyway you did solved this, but in the extension. I appreciate very much
your contribution and your effort. But do you really think that all this
functions are needed in the C-land instead the PHP-land? I think like Klaus
that the bindings should only provide basic functionality. The rest can be
programmed in the languages the bindings are.

I will look at your code.

Best regards,

B.

i'm sure you are rigth with the name, the function is just that, retrive the record from
one MFN

then in php you have to make the "for" and run from the mfnstart to mfnstop=20

yes, an agree

in this specific function, i didn't find any function that can be used to retrive the
records from some MFN, that is why i thougth that a new C function was necesary

another thing, i'm just curious, why in the flech_flat_array function do you give the
row's content just as it is, not as an array ?

centain you can process it in the php code but in C will be fast icon_smile.gif
